Prior to joining Clarity, John worked for Richard Vander Kaay & Associates, Inc., a leading buy side mergers and acquisition firm based in Newport Beach, CA, where he conducted acquisition work for private investment firms and major corporations. John was instrumental in opening their affiliate office in Southern Florida, which is where he resides. He spent six years at RVK and earned a reputation for dogged persistence while always maintaining the highest level of professionalism. This combination yielded multiple middle market deals.

Prior to RVK, John accumulated over 20 years of operational, marketing and sales experience in the high-technology healthcare industry where he held executive management positions with several leading international companies, including Ohmeda (now part of GE Medical), Spacelabs Medical, and VIASYS Healthcare.

John’s worldwide experience spans many continents including North America, Europe, Asia and Africa where he had P&L responsibilities and led multiple successful new product development projects. Recognizing the international growth plans of Clarity’s clientele – particularly in the BRIC nations and Europe – John’s global experience advances our capabilities for proprietary international deal sourcing.

John studied mechanical engineering at Huddersfield University in Yorkshire, England. He also played professional soccer for teams in England, USA and South Africa in his early years.
