The Clarity Difference

The Clarity Difference

Clarity defies simple categorization. Our depth and range enable us to work with different client types in various modes. We don't try to frame our engagements according to a narrowly defined business model. Instead, we endeavor to build a trust relationship over time as the go to source for dependable results. We then stand ready to support our clients' divestiture efforts, along with organic and acquisition growth initiatives.

1. Manufacturing Focus

We work with manufacturers and allied businesses, such as industrial distributors and related service providers. Our industry focus and 15 year Research practice means that we have conducted studies that are relevant to your business. We ramp up quickly on your company’s challenges and opportunities.

2. Captive Research

Clarity was formed in 1994, initially producing growth planning and acquisition due diligence studies for Diversified Industrials. Our Research practice still produces market studies, for clients such as Dover, Eaton, Emerson, and Rockwell along with private companies. We recognize the importance of timely and accurate information and have the expertise to support informed business decisions.

3. Range of Services

We are not aware of a firm with Clarity's specific range of services; namely custom market research, buy side M&A advisory and sell side M&A advisory. Our skill sets bolster one another. For example, our research expertise enables us to develop adjacent market ideas and test their business merits when working under an acquisition prospect development charter. Similarly, when we are producing a market study for planning support, our research may yield a decision to exit certain business activity. Clarity can leverage our freshly obtained understanding of the market to run an effective sell side process.

4. Three Client Types

Clarity works with Corporations, Private Equity Groups and closely held private companies. Our diverse client base is cross pollinating. For example, our Corporate and PEG buyer pool often enables us to play matchmaker - facilitating deals that meet with seller's objectives without risking a rumor mill or absorbing an inordinate amount of the sellers time and distracting them from day to day operations. We also understand why many growth initiatives and acquisitions fail, bringing corporate caliber guidance as we work with private businesses.
