The Clarity Difference

The Clarity Difference

Clarity defies simple categorization. Our depth and range enable us to work with different client types in various modes. We don't try to frame our engagements according to a narrowly defined business model. Instead, we endeavor to build a trust relationship over time as the go to source for dependable results. We then stand ready to support our clients' divestiture efforts, along with organic and acquisition growth initiatives.

1. Manufacturing Focus

We work with manufacturers and allied businesses, such as industrial distributors and related service providers. Our industry focus and 13 year Research practice means that we have conducted studies that are relevant to your business. We ramp up quickly on your company’s challenges and opportunities.

2. Captive Research

Clarity was formed in 1994, initially producing growth planning and acquisition due diligence studies for Diversified Industrials. Our Research practice still produces market studies, for clients such as Dover, Eaton, Emerson, and Rockwell along with private companies. We recognize the importance of timely and accurate information and have the expertise to support informed business decisions.

3. Range of Services

Our first objective in working with private companies is to build trust. We battle the stigma that business brokers are sharks. Many business owners are uncomfortable even talking to a business broker, concerned that their confidence will somehow be violated or they will get pressured to sell the company. Our breadth of services enable us to take a long view. We are not feast or famine on success fees. We can facilitate an independent 3rd party valuation or a testing of the water through our buyer pool. If the value of a business does not match owner expectations, we can help groom the company for greater value or work with management on its own acquisitions.

4. Two Client Types

Clarity works with Corporations / Private Equity Groups and closely held private companies. This structure is cross pollinating. For example, our Corporate/PEG buyer pool often enables us to play matchmaker and get good deals done painlessly. We also understand why most acquisitions fail, enabling us to help private companies avoid common acquisition pitfalls.
